Revs. Dan Holloway & Kathy McManus

We welcomed Rev. Dan Holloway to Unity of Vero Beach as our permanent minister in 2012!

With his wife Rev. Kathy McManus, Rev. Dan has spent over 25 years in Florida and knows the culture and weather well.

Rev. Dan was ordained from Unity School for Religious Studies in 1993. After graduating from Ministerial school, he worked with Rev. Howard Caesar for five years as Senior Associate Minister of Unity Church of Christianity in Houston, one of the largest churches in the Unity movement. He has served churches in Texas, Florida, Nebraska and Virginia.

Rev. Dan has gained experience in the greater Unity Movement through his service to our Association of Unity Churches, International (now Unity Worldwide Ministries). He served on various Ministry Teams, then as a Board member, and then as Chair of the Board for the Association of Unity Churches, International.

He has valued and put into use the education received through the Unity Minister’s Executive Institute, Peaceworker training, Appreciative Inquiry and Transitional Ministry training. He has ministered in a corporate-sized church as well as program-sized and pastoral churches.

Rev. Kathy McManus, was ordained as a Unity minister in 2009.  Rev. Kathy has served as a Licensed Unity Teacher, workshop presenter, guest speaker for several groups, spiritual counselor, and has organized and facilitated women’s retreats. She has presented Sunday lessons, meditations, and has assisted with the transitional work at Unity of Roanoke Valley. She also is an asset to Unity of Vero Beach.

Rev. Dan’s experience includes many years’ work in healthy, vital, growing churches as well as facing and overcoming the challenges of churches in need of healing. His vision is one of inclusiveness, wholeness, and creativity. His mission is to demonstrate peace, joy, acceptance and the power of choice.
